Chemical Peels

It's a beauty technique used to improve and refine skin texture and address skin concerns such as acne, scarring and pigmentation. Chemical Peels are expected to do away with the Outermost Layers of the skin , encouraging newer and smoother skin to appear. Our Chemical Peels comprise of low molecular weight ingredients that allow for effective and substantial penetration into the skin. A diagnostic evaluation will determine which chemical peel at a particular strength as well as a particular contact time is suitable for your skin.

How often do I need a Peel?

A Chemical Peel can be done once a month to assist with exfoliation, dead skin cell removal and Collagen contraction.

Chemical Peel aftercare

Do not wash/treat skin for 24hrs after Chemical Peel. Avoid sun exposure after treatment as new cells have to mature. Always apply an SPF to protect against sun damage. Only use the Retinol Serum 2 days after Chemical Peel.

Melanin Skin

Skin with more melanin should refrain from deep-layered Peels as this may cause hyper-pigmentation. It is recommended to go for more frequent low concentration peels than too invasive peels. Going for a more superficial peel at least once per month will leave the skin looking healthy and radiant.

How to prepare your skin for Chemical Peel

Avoid sun exposure before treatment.

What to expect after your Chemical Peel treatment

Your skin will start to flake(peel) immediately or after few days depending on the Peel used. Some people peel microscopically in such a way that their flaking is not visible to the eye. After the Peel some people can notice things such as breakouts and areas of pigmentation getting darker. You will get through this phase, continue doing a Peel regimen every 3 to 4 weeks depending on the indication and Skin type until your Skin clears up.

Downtime

You can return to work the same day but you might notice peeling over the few days. Some Peels might cause a little rash or breakout. Peels accelerate your cell turnover, it is normal to have a purging phase when you first start treating the skin.
